For Solicitors and Financial Advisers: TimeFinders can assist your clients with the practical advice and preparation for the future which accompanies later life legal and financial planning. Very often legal and financial professionals are called upon to assist clients who are ageing alone simply because there has been no alternative. Our Continuing Support and Oversight Services are a cost effective way to ensure that your most vulnerable clients are protected.
We have worked with Alison Hesketh of TimeFinders on several matters and we find her approach highly professional but with the necessary warmth and empathy required for working with elderly and vulnerable clients and their families.

Expert Annual Health and Welfare Visit Reports for Professional Deputies & Attorneys
TimeFinders has provided a care home research and shortlisting service for our clients for over five years and our Continuing Oversight Service, which monitors the welfare of elderly clients in care, means that we have the skills and experience to provide Professional Deputies & Attorneys with expert Annual Health and Welfare Visit Reports. TimeFinders provides Deputyship Reports for both elderly people without mental capacity and also younger people who have an acquired brain injury or other loss of capacity.
Our Reports include monitoring CQC inspection visits and reports during the following 12 months and alerting you to any action that needs to be taken.
Our visits to Care facilities are unannounced so that we are able to observe the normal care provided to your client. We conduct our visits in a friendly, supportive manner designed to gain the trust, confidence and openness of the staff caring for your client.
We are delighted that one of our Deputyship Reports was recently singled out for praise by the Office of the Public Guardian in a recent professional Deputy Assurance Review.
Alison’s Deputy Visit & Report service has been particularly valuable to us in assisting our efficient management of Deputy matters. Her involvement (as an independent set of eyes) has been specifically praised by the Office of the Public Guardian (“OPG”) in recent professional Deputy Assurance Reviews we have had with the OPG.

For Care Home Managers
Many elderly people, particularly those ageing alone or with families living at a distance, who need the care and support of a Care or Nursing Home often find it impossible to make the practical arrangements necessary for moving into care. TimeFinders services can make it possible for potential residents to move at the time of their choosing and to ensure that their care home room or apartment is appropriately furnished with their favourite belongings. By minimizing the stress of moving, either from home or straight from hospital, we enable your residents to settle in more quickly with noticeable benefits to their physical and mental well-being.
For those residents who have managed to move into care, the business of selling their home and dispersing their belongings is often beyond them and this results in emotional and financial distress. Our Managed Property Sale and Downsizing Services can help those residents who cannot call on family nearby to assist them.
We offer free initial consultations and are very happy to discuss our proposals with residents’ family and legal and financial advisers. We are also happy to give informal, informative presentations to residents and potential residents on Top Tips for Moving into Residential Care.
Alison and Helen of TimeFinders have worked with several of our prospective residents since we opened in December 2014 and have made the difficult process of choosing and moving into a care home so much easier. In fact, I would say that some of these residents may have not made the move at all if it weren’t for the constant support of the TimeFinders Team! I have heard a few prospective residents say that they really want to move into a care home, but are put off by the thought of clearing and selling their own home – one elderly lady told me ‘if I could go to bed at home one night and wake up the next day in your Care home with all my precious things around me, I’d be happy!’ I told her we couldn’t quite do that, but TimeFinders were the next best thing. She met with Alison and Helen who took all the worries away from her, working out what she wanted to bring and what needed to be disposed of. They liaised with the estate agents, solicitors and ourselves so the whole process went smoothly. I have no hesitation in recommending TimeFinders to anyone considering downsizing. They are friendly and professional, treat their clients with dignity and respect and will always go the extra mile.

TimeFinders have been a huge support to some of our residents when making the difficult decision to downsize. The overwhelming stress is taken away by Alison and her team as they deal with the whole house sale and moving process, from packing up boxes to sorting removals. With a caring and compassionate approach, Alison took the time to understand what the person wanted and how they would like their new home with us to look. She was supportive and understanding in what can be an emotional journey for someone to leave their home after so many years and all of the worries were taken away. We would have no hesitation in recommending TimeFinders and the excellent service continues even after the resident had joined us as Alison still visited to ensure all was ok.

Alison and TimeFinders offer a bespoke service, which is impressively well organized, efficient and of high quality. Her natural calm and sympathetic manner puts all clients at ease, and no issue is too small for Alison to help with. TimeFinders is now working with two families at our home and I would certainly TimeFinders to anyone who is looking to downsize.

For Hospital Discharge Teams
The problem facing elderly people stuck in hospital awaiting an appropriate care package or placement has been well-documented, as has the resultant decline in their health and well-being. TimeFinders can arrange private care assessments and either source appropriate private care at home or find the right residential care, on a temporary or permanent basis, which meets their needs. By providing both practical and emotional support at this difficult time we help patients make a successful move from hospital at the right time and settle them into their new care arrangements. The benefit to everyone is considerable: the patient’s individual care needs are responded to properly and in a timely manner and urgently required bed space and hospital resources are made available.
We offer free initial consultations and are very happy to discuss our proposals with patients’ family and legal and financial advisers.
