Someone who can help you every step of the way, a caring professional – your very own Guardian Angel
About TimeFinders
TimeFinders was one of the first companies to offer specialist retirement downsizing services in the UK. Established as a partnership in 2010, we have grown slowly and carefully as is necessary in creating a new profession working with a potentially very vulnerable client group. This has included developing a widely admired Code of Conduct together with rigorous service and quality standards. TimeFinders Ltd was incorporated in February 2014.
Our approach and way of working with clients, often in difficult circumstances, is exceptional and follows a dedicated, person-centred philosophy which respects, champions and supports older people to make their own decisions and maintain their independence in old age. We have the flexibility to work with each client and family member as unique individuals.
TimeFinders provides a co-ordinating intelligence for clients and families dealing with myriad agencies. The combination of intensely practical help together with a high degree of emotional support has not been hitherto available and is highly valued and respected.
The quality of our business practices and the outstanding level of our client support, together with our commitment to improving the lives of older people and the services they receive, are all respected by professionals and specialists in the sector who recognize our expertise as well as the economic and welfare value which our services provide.
- We are very proud that our innovative services have been selected to highlight best practice in the Parliamentary Review of Care: Support, Wellbeing and Awareness.
- In 2013, TimeFinders was part of the UKTI Passport to Export Programme to develop our unique Ex-pat Services and we have now supported clients in Canada, France, Hong Kong and the USA.
- We were recently featured in a Financial Times article on Caring at a Distance and are beginning to be recognized by companies with a British ex-pat workforce as a valuable resource to reduce assignment failure and support senior executives with elderly parents back in the UK.
Solicitors, Financial Advisers and Care Homes trust TimeFinders implicitly and recommend us to their clients, particularly those who are vulnerable and alone.
The way we work
We believe passionately that older people should be able to retain as much control as possible over the decisions affecting their future. We understand, however, that fear of the upheaval involved in making changes at this time often prevents people from taking and implementing decisions which will enable them to improve their well-being and quality of life.
We have seen how our clients have blossomed by living in a way which suits their physical and emotional needs. Whether that is through modifying or re-organizing their existing home or by moving to somewhere more manageable or supported, TimeFinders has helped clients make very successful transitions to a new way of living. Our gentle, sensitive and empowering approach has helped our clients to take as much control as possible over their changing circumstances and, in doing so, regain lost self-confidence and self-esteem. Through our firm advocacy we enable our clients’ wishes to be heard and respected.
We listen carefully and we work in partnership with our clients. Every client is unique and each situation is different. Any change in circumstances has to be carefully planned and thoughtfully implemented and TimeFinders offers creative practical and emotional support which is tailor-made to each individual’s circumstances.
We understand that for a family member to find the time and patience to deal sensitively with an elderly relative can be hard. Also, we know that our clients can sometimes be reluctant to admit to the need for change. TimeFinders is an independent voice of reason and works sympathetically and positively with our older clients to help them come to terms with the difficult decisions surrounding their changing circumstances.
Security, Safety and Peace of Mind
You have to be sure that anyone you let into your home is safe, honest, and absolutely trustworthy. In addition to rigorous vetting, all members of the TimeFinders team are cleared to work with vulnerable adults by the CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) and DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service). We have a strict Code of Conduct which also forbids team members to accept any gift from a client or to be named as a beneficiary in a client’s Will.
We are very happy to discuss our proposals and work with your nominated advisers and extended family members if you have given us your authority to do so.
TimeFinders signs a Confidentiality Agreement with every client and we are also registered under the Data Protection Act 1998 registration No: Z3560962. TimeFinders is fully insured with Hiscox Insurance Company.
We will only refer reputable, referenced, and accredited professionals to you for the services you require. We do not seek introduction fees or commission from any of the professionals or service providers to whom we refer our clients because we want you to be assured that the people to whom we refer offer the best possible services for our clients. From time to time however, TimeFinders is offered commission by such companies for the introduction of new business and this will only be accepted on the guarantee that we will pass on to the client 100% of any commission or introductory fees that we are offered.
