Within the differing restrictions imposed by Tiers 1, 2 and 3 of Covid-19 measures, we are delighted that we can offer our clients the support and help they need.
We observe strict social distancing for meetings in person and have procedures for safely taking clients in our cars.
Many of our clients with hearing impairments find it particularly difficult to hear us without being able to “read” our faces so we have transparent face shields to make communication easier but each TimeFinder also has gloves, masks and a comprehensive virus protection kit to deal with any eventuality working in a client’s own home or travelling with clients by car.
Downsizing, Advocacy and Continuing Support Services can now be undertaken in our clients’ own homes. We are are still prohibited from visiting many of our clients in residential care but we are keeping in touch with regular telephone calls and letters. We are working with the care homes to find ways of enabling us to resume safe visits which are vital to our clients’ mental health and well-being. We are continuing to offer Family, Attorney and Deputyship Support.
Sadly, people are still suffering life changing falls and illnesses that have nothing to do with Covid -19 and we can support clients in Finding and Managing Care. There are some residential homes which are still taking new residents under strict quarantine conditions, but we are not able to conduct our usual expert care home visits and we are supporting our clients to find appropriate domiciliary and live-in care.
Enforced lock-down will have given many people a very uncomfortable opportunity to consider just how suitable their home is, how well it meets their physical and mental health needs and any advantages and disadvantages of proximity to family, friends and community support. We are here to help with advice and guidance for anyone considering these very important questions of whether to “stay put” or move to somewhere more manageable. We can conduct comprehensive Future Planning Reports to take account of immediate or anticipated accommodation, health, care and support requirements.
